I can still remember the tremendous excitement that I felt as I strung up and played the first McInturff guitar in January of 1978.

25th Anniversary FAQ    25th Anniversary Complete Story

Every guitar that I have made since is, in very important ways, a direct descendant of that first set-neck, double cutaway, dual humbucker, carved maple topped TCM.

Please see the Complete Story...

I have decided to celebrate my 25 years as a full time guitar professional by designing and building a unique set of extremely limited production 25th Anniversary Edition Guitars.  Each of these special guitars...which are being almost completely built by me, personally... sports a set of brand new design features, while retaining the very best TCM hallmarks of the past quarter century.

Thank you for joining us as we celebrate my 25th year of total devotion to this trade, and for being part of our guitar history. I look forward to sharing my designs with you.

  The New TerryCaster...

The TerryCaster is the product of quite a bit of on-and-off brainstorming, prototyping, and testing. The guitar has been in development for almost one year, and in fact has turned out to be one of the most challenging designs I've ever taken on.

The intent of the TerryCaster was to design a set-neck guitar that, while having very strong roots in the sound of a great Fender Telecaster, would provide an instrument that took those tones in a slightly different direction, and in a guitar whose design would feel "at home" for people who normally play a set-neck style guitar. One person has said that, "the TerryCaster is the Tele that a Les Paul player would like". While such comments should be taken with the proverbial grain-of-salt, there may be a bit of truth there, for some.

There is not another guitar in the entire TCM lineup that sounds like the TerryCaster. I do hope that you like it!

Gemini, Vine Inlay, #25004

I will venture the opinion that the TCM Gemini, in this particular form, has a lot of that airiness on top and richness down below that I associate with a truly good late 50’s LP Standard, with a notable bit of the throatiness and punch of a really great 335 (but with an even response over the entire fretboard)...

Gemini, Vine Inlay, #25003

This design is the most forthright TCM interpretation of my favorite vintage Gibson tones to date.  Syrupy, violin-esque qualities are readily apparent on single notes...

Gemini, Prototype, #2500a

One of the early TCM Gemini prototypes...Deep swamp ash body, carved maple top, mahogany neck and a vibrato bridge.  This guitar is unbelievably resonant.  This particular guitar was an early prototype and some of the features on the final version are different but like the final version everything on this beautiful guitar is bound, including the ebony truss rod cover and ebony finger rest...
