25th Anniversary Complete Story

One of the early TCM Gemini prototypes...Deep swamp ash body, carved maple top, mahogany neck and a vibrato bridge.  This guitar is unbelievably resonant.  This particular guitar was an early prototype and some of the features on the final version are different but like the final version everything on this beautiful guitar is bound, including the ebony truss rod cover and ebony finger rest...

I've always loved the look of guitars with a bound top and there was no way to accomplish this on the deep dish carve of my Glory, Zodiac models etc...I choose my maple tops for tone, not looks, when I'm prototyping a guitar, so I finished this one off in Jet Black Opaque.  I think that was a good choice.  Using ash to create a thicker body style and special chambering made this guitar an absolute joy to play and hear when I was done with it.  The next Gemini model is going to be similar to this, but with my full 25th Anniversary motif such as a short vine inlay, inlaid ebony finger rest and great new pickups so keep a look out for the next version.  If you are interested in customizing a version of the Gemini, you can do so by contacting an authorized TCM dealer and we can talk about your requests...

I've hand signed and numbered EVERY McInturff guitar that we've built, so I've personally had my hands on each and every guitar that's left the shop. I'm proud to say that I stand behind my work 100%.  The 25th Anniversary Edition models that you're about to witness will all have a beautifully inlaid headstock featuring my signature.  The back of the headstock will have a hand written serial number...
