2 volume controls operate independently of one another in multi pick up configuration.
1 tone control.
Volume controls have high pass clarity circuit which preserves tone at lower volume levels.
5 way switch yields the following tones:
Position 1 Neck pickup, series:
Fat, round, warm and musical but not muddy. Flutey sustain.
Position 2 Neck pickup, outside coil only:
Brighter, clearer version of position 1. Single coil tone.
Position 3 Neck and bridge pickups in parallel:
Myriad of tones obtained by manipulating volume controls. Unlike a Les Paul, you can turn either volume control to zero and it will not cancel output.
Position 4 Inside coils of neck and bridge pickups in parallel:
Like position 3, numerous tones can be obtained by manipulating volume controls. For instance, you can achieve a bridge single coil tone in this position by turning the neck volume control to zero.
Position 5 Bridge pickup in series:
Snarling, high sustaining tones.  The sustaining wail from this position is just bright enough to sit in the mix and just warm enough to be very musical.
